Ever wondered how it's like to be the first class? Well I can tell you! Last year I joined the "Multimedia Design & Development" class in Emmen, Holland. Of course some starting problems are not really surprising, but it can be annoying. I barely made it to next grade.
After this troublesome year I had the choise to start over in Zwolle, on a different school. But I refused, I assumed that my current school learned from their mistakes and would make my second year a lot more comfortable... WRONG!
I had a boring vacation this year, worked most of the time to save up for a new PC. With a good feeling, I returned to school after the holidays. I systematically walked up to my old classroom, when a see that it has been taken my the new class... Ok, ok, it was not quite a shock, I could have seen this one coming...
But then I saw my new classroom...
Does any of you have a walk in closet? Yeah? Well, try to picture 22 students sitting in it, all behind a PC or laptop. Unthinkable eh? Well, it is possible, I've withnessed it!
Also, the room was completely empty, we had to carry down all the PC from the old classroom to this one. Plus there weren't enough chairs, so those had to be carried down too. Lets see, what else...? Oh yeah! We had like 8 power sockets in the room, while we need around 45! (PC's, monitors, fans, printer, scanner) And, last but definitely not least, there were no UTP cables (internet) in the room! Doing this Multimedia thing without internet is like playing tennis without a net, it's possible, but very frustrating.
Oh, and I almost forgot. The new students are all equipped with a Mac Book! I had to buy a laptop, with a crappy video card, 512MB ram (64 shared with the video card) and a terrible noisy fan!

I'm off, I'll try to get some sleep...

To all who is not reading this

Nobody would care about what I make, but anyway...

It's not going as fast as the first episode, but I'm working on part 2 of RTS. I've read all the comments of the first part, so that I know which points I need to change or modify. This time I will make it a lot better! The script will be much more advanced, the animation smoother and more realistic, the graphics more detailed and the voice-acting more clear... I hope...
I already finished a part of it: the Calkhoven intro (man, I just love to mess with creepy sound effects!), the first scene and the title-intro. About the voice-acting: this time I won't have to do it all by myself, my girlfriend didn't mind doing some lines for me, the sweatheart!

Well, that's about it, now quit wasting your time reading this! Oh no, too late for that...

It's done, my movie is submitted and under judgement as we speak. And I'm nervous as hell! I hope it won't get blammed...

I know nobody's reading this, but at least it kills some time writing it...
On this moment (well, not exactly on this moment, because I'm writing this now) I am busy making the first scene of my third project! (yes, the third, the first one was blammed because of a lack of quality...) I is going to be a short one, but I hope it will pass the judgement!

Meh... I have this all the time... I have a good idea for a movie, and the day after I realize I haven't got enough material to make a descent product. That is what is keeping me from making a flash movie, I never have a complete script, just a beginning or an ending.
Summer holidays started in Holland, some weeks ago. I completed my firts schoolyear of my "Multimedia Design & Development" course (or whatever you call it), which went far from great and smoothly... It was the starting year of this "course" (you understand what I mean, right?) so many things went wrong. And, like always, us student were the ones to blame, cause we are lazy, uninterested, and playing Counter-Strike all the time (well, ok, they were right about the last one).
Anyway, this is the list of software I use on school:

- Adobe Indesign (for making folders, magazines and stuff)
- Adobe Illustrator (THE program for making digtal illustrations, using vectors)
- Adobe Photoshop (c'mon, everyone knows what this is...right?)
- Macromedia Dreamweaver (heh, this is my weak spot)
- Macromedia Flash (that's right, I can (and I did) use my submissions on NG as a school project!)

I will only submit something if I know for sure it will be a one-of-a-kind product... So it may take a while before you'll see a movie with my name on it... Hehe...
